For a limited time we are offering Winter fishing packages for Sundowner@Lanseria Country Estate. This provides an opportunity to enjoy your fly fishing trips to a little fly fishing gem in the Cradle of Humankind at a discounted rate. This offer is only available until end of May 2026.

The value fly fishing packages includes the option of 10 or 20 Day fishing permits, where you can target trout, bass and carp on two dams.

Mid week pensioner packages are also available.

Trout are regularly stocked over the winter season (22 May to 30 September).

The package holders may utilize up to two permits per day.

Adult fishing access is available:
Monday & Tuesday - One dam per day (trout are rested in the alternative dam)
Wednesday to Sunday - Both dams

Pensioner package fishing is available:

Save money - discounted trout fly fishing

The day fishing permits on the packages are discounted from the normal day fly-fishing rates. This means that you can get on the water more often to fly-fish for trout

Our fly fishing venues support catch and release for trout. We encourage guests to manage the fish with care.

Bring your friends fly fishing

You are able to use two of the permits from your package per day. This is on condition that the package holders is present.

Terms and Conditions

A day access permit includes access to the two dams at Lanseria Country Estate
Access times are 6am – 6pm
Meals and drinks may not be brought onto the premises but may must be purchased from the restaurant or bar.
All fishing is on a catch and release basis although guests may sometimes be requested to remove certain exotic fish species (carp/barbel) as part of the environmental renewal programme.
Only de-barbed or barbless flies are permitted, and fly-fishing equipment must be utilized.
A package permit/s will be forfeited if we do not receive notice of cancellation of a booking within 48 hours of the visit.
Maximum limit of 10-12 fishers per day

Process for using fishing permits:

Check the availability for the desired booking date via our online bookings on the “Book your Adventure” tag on www.sundowner.co.za. Insert your unique discount code in the allocated voucher section. You will be sent an email confirmation of your booking. If there is no availability on the specific day that you would like to book then please call SFA central reservations and we will try to fit you in on that day, if possible.
If you would like to book a second fishing place on a day, then you will need to book a make a separate booking. The system will automatically deduct credits from your account when you book. The system will automatically charge for any additional fishers after a credit has been deducted for the first fisher. If you would like to book additional fishing guests and not utilize the Winter Package credits, then when you make the online booking don’t use the unique discount code. The system will request and online payment to secure the booking.
The online booking system will request you complete an e-indemnity form each time you make a booking and request an electronic check for each fishing day.

Notes:

This package may not be transferred or refunded
Any credits remaining after the 2026 Winter season period has finished will expire and cannot be transferred or refunded.
There are a few days during the year when we are hosting exclusive events and the day fishing is closed. Regular day fishing access will not be available on these days.
This package does not constitute a membership, but is a value-add bundle that provides discounted rates on the day access fishing permits at Lanseria Country Estate.
Terms and conditions as specified on the indemnity form on the fishing permit apply.
Any contravention of this agreement will result in the immediate cancellation of the package and relinquishing of any remaining day access credits.

Indemnity

Lanseria Country Estate and Sundowner Adventures are indemnified and may not be held responsible for any theft, damage or injury whatsoever. Use of all facilities and fishing gear are at guests own risk. Right of admission is reserved. Staff of Lanseria Country Estate as well as Sundowner Adventures hold the right to enforce these rules.
